BEHIND THE LENS

My name is Sue Kay Walker. I am a self taught, crazy-about-taking-pictures photographer who also loves frogs, hence the logo.

I have always enjoyed taking photos of people and places, but when my husband and I started doing 4WDriving and camping, I really got more interested in the technicalities of photography.

 

My husband gave me a 2nd hand DSLR and zoom lens for Christmas in 2015. I went crazy haha. I took photos of anything and everything. I had always had an interest in macro-photography and played around with that for a while. I slowly started to read up on and watch you-tube on photography as I felt that I wanted to take my photography from just a hobby to something more. Just wasn't sure where or how.

Then in early 2017, I saw a photo on Facebook that rang bells for me. This was a boudoir shot, a beautiful photo of a young woman, fully dressed, but incredibly sensual. It got me thinking of a photo I had had taken of myself a few years ago (the photo on this page). I remembered how this photo made me feel, especially as I was at a very low time in my life.

 

This is when I KNEW where I wanted to take my photography. I wanted to make other women feel like I do when I look at that old photo, beautiful and sexy. All woman. So that is where I want to go with my photography, making people, especially women, feel good about themselves. Photos that, when people look at them, bring back happy memories. Hopefully, we will all have a fun time while we do it.
